Technology for Teachers

A program implemented into the school system where CADS will provide needed technology so Special Citizens can overcome issues with learning. Year to date, CADS has awarded 167 IPads to Special Education Classrooms in Montgomery and the other 8 counties we serve. Full-time Special Education Teachers within the 9 counties we serve are eligible to apply for the grant during open registration once per calendar year. The grants are scored by a third party representative using a rubric. To apply or check for open registration please see the Technology for Teachers (T4T) tab.

Families with a Down syndrome member sometimes face financial hardships. CADS will facilitate an annual trip for up to 15 families to participate in a special needs camp weekend at Camp for Courageous Kids (CCK) in Scottsville, KY. Applications are now open at http://www.courageouskids.org/cckExperience.html, for camp dates November 3-5, 2017.
